Daily US Stock market Technical Analysis January 4, 2017

More optimism in DJIA

Dow Jones Industrial Averages closed up after U.S stock market posted gain under positive ISM manufacturing data yesterday. The index futures also stay in the positive region before FOMC meeting minutes this afternoon.

Stronger U.S dollar haunted the market and put crude oil price on retreat after it touches 18 Months high. Although the strength of U.S dollar put several major pairs to the backseat, we could see advances in the Asian and European stock market.

Technical Analysis

Dow Jones Industrial Averages (INDU)

Opened higher and moved lower in the initial U.S trading session, Dow Jones Industrial Averages closed with triple digit gains +119.16. The 20,000 target has not reached yet in the previous year, and we might see the index reach it soon.

Facebook Inc (FB)

FB is in bearish trend after it closed below the daily SMA 200, but there is hope for the bull as the price drop is not severe. The share has blue long-term support trendline, if it can bounce from the trendline and close above the averages, we might see another new bullish trend in the stock.

Other Watchlist

TRV – bearish engulfing pattern from the top of the channel.
