Guide Esports has announced that it has entered a sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp. According to the deal, Bitstamp will become the company’s official partner in a three-year global sponsorship deal.
The sponsorship deal, worth £4.5 million, is said to be the largest in the history of Guild Esports and could generate expected revenue of £1.5 million a year.
The crypto firm has also stated that it will start giving marketing rights from January 29. Additionally, exposures across Guild’s team jerseys will begin on the same date. It will feature the company’s content creators and pro-players.
Also, Bitstamp’s brand and logo will be ingrained at Guild’s London headquarters, which will be opening in the first quarter of 2022.
The Partnership Will Help Guild To Create High-Quality Content
Chief Executive Officer of Bitstamp, Julian Sawyer, stated that the partnership with Guild is a natural fit for the company.
“Working together to reach esports and gaming fans is a significant moment for us and our growth plans,” he stated. Sawyer also stated that the company will continue to bring its trusted service to more audiences who understand the benefits of investing in cryptocurrency.
Additionally, both parties will be looking to develop activations for the promotion of the esports fan base. The partnership will also help to create “high quality” content, which improves the experience of Bitstamp customers.
There have been increased interests in the Esports community over the past year. Electronics giant Samsung recently entered a partnership deal with Guild Esports as the firm became an official partner of the British organization.
The Deal Will Enhance Guild’s Fanbase
The partnership deal enabled Guild Esports to use Samsung’s range of displays and monitors for the content creators, pro-players, and staff. It also represents the first time Samsung has partnered with an esports organization in the U.K.
SMG was the organization that brokered the multi-year partnership deal between Bitstamp and Esports. Both Bitstamp and Guild say the partnership will help both parties develop several projects designed to enhance Bitstamp’s customer experience and enhance Guild’s fanbase. The partnership will also enable Guild to deliver high-quality content, offering a more valuable experience to the audience.
