Forex Technical Cross Pairs Analysis | October 16, 2026

EUR/JPY

EUR/JPY traded slightly upward today, managing to surpass the highs of the previous four candles before getting stuck near those levels. While the pair might make another bullish attempt in the near term, the overall path of least resistance remains tilted to the downside. Sellers continue to maintain control over the broader market structure, keeping upside momentum limited. Traders should watch for potential reversal signs near current resistance levels to re-establish short positions.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 176.00, 175.50

Resistance: 178.00, 180.00, 183.40, 185.84, 190.00

EUR/GBP

EUR/GBP extended its bearish continuation by printing a new lower low during today’s session. The pair remains under clear selling pressure and might continue its downward trajectory toward the key 0.8400 target next. If a temporary bounce occurs, the previously broken swing low around 0.84536 will serve as the primary resistance level to monitor. As long as price stays capped below this area, the prevailing bearish outlook remains firmly intact.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 0.8450, 0.8400

Resistance: 0.8500, 0.8525, 0.8580, 0.8600, 0.8700, 0.8750

GBP/JPY

GBP/JPY launched upward today and is rapidly closing in on its mid-September peak and previous swing high. Traders will closely observe price action and market reactions as the pair approaches this key overhead resistance zone. Should strong bearish reactions or rejection signals develop near current levels, it could present an opportunity to add short positions. A decisive breakout above this barrier, however, would invalidate immediate short biases and clear the path for higher targets.

Today’s critical level to watch:

Support: 208.00, 205.00

Resistance: 210.00, 211.50, 214.965, 218.00

GBP/CHF

GBP/CHF staged a bullish attempt today following yesterday’s bearish close, keeping price action within a tight consolidation boundary. Although no lower swing low has been printed yet, the market has formed a lower high, signaling potential underlying fatigue among buyers. If the pair manages to break down and print a new lower low, we could see a technical shift toward a neutral or bearish stance. Until then, traders should remain cautious and wait for a clear structural confirmation before committing to new positions.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.0900, 1.0800, 1.0660, 1.0600, 1.0500, 1.03599

Resistance: 1.1060, 1.1100
