Moscow Exchange (MOEX) has launched perpetual-style futures contracts of Bitcoin ($BTC), Ethereum ($ETH), Solana ($SOL), XRP ($XRP), and TRON ($TRX). Moscow Exchange is introducing these products as the first crypto perpetual futures available on Russia’s primary regulated exchange. The trading of these perpetuals is already live as of 22nd September.

The above-mentioned contracts have been listed under the tickers BTCUSDF, ETHUSDF, SOLUSDF, XRPUSDF, and TRXUSDF. The products allow qualified investors to gain continuous exposure to cryptocurrency prices without directly purchasing the digital asset.
MOEX Launches Perpetual-Style Crypto Futures
The new instruments are structured as one-day futures contracts that automatically roll over each day. This daily roll over creates a perpetual-style trading structure. The contracts are quoted in US dollars based on the corresponding MOEX crypto indexes but are financially settled in Russian rubles. However, traders do not receive or hold the underlying cryptocurrencies because the contracts are cash-settled.
Access is limited to investors classified as qualified investors under Russian regulations. Initial margin requirements vary by asset. The first-tier minimum rates are 22% for Bitcoin, 35% for Ethereum, 38% for Solana, 43% for XRP, and 30% for TRON.
Crypto Futures Demand Surges on Moscow Exchange
The launch of these perpetual futures follows huge demand for MOEX’s existing crypto-linked derivatives. According to the exchange, more than 72,000 investors have traded its earlier cryptocurrency futures since their introduction in 2025. Cumulative trading turnover across those products has surpassed 600 billion rubles ($7 billion). This activity indicates growing participation among professional investors.
The newly launched products will provide investors with an exchange-traded way to manage cryptocurrency exposure without direct ownership. The structure also fits Russia’s approach of permitting certain cash-settled cryptocurrency investment products for professional market participants while maintaining restrictions around domestic crypto payments and direct token ownership.
By adding perpetual-style contracts for 5 major cryptocurrencies, MOEX is expanding its regulated derivatives offering. With this launch, MOEX is giving investors another instrument for managing digital asset price risk within Russia.
