Paxos Adds $XRP Support to Expand Institutional Crypto Access

Paxos, a regulated stablecoin issuer, has added $XRP to its Crypto Brokerage platform. With this move, it is allowing institutional partners to offer trading and custody of XRP through its APIs on the XRP Ledger. According to Paxos, XRP has been in circulation since 2012 and is held across more than 8.1 million wallets. The digital asset also has a market capitalization of nearly $95 billion.

Paxos Crypto Brokerage combines crypto custody, trading, settlement, and API access. The infrastructure allows banks, broker-dealers, and fintech companies to offer cryptocurrency services without developing their own underlying systems.

The platform supports XRP on the XRP Ledger, giving institutional partners access to the asset through Paxos’ existing brokerage infrastructure.

XRP Asset Offering Expands

Paxos operates as a national trust bank under the oversight of the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The company also holds regulatory licenses in Finland and Singapore.

Its Crypto Brokerage infrastructure already supports crypto offerings from financial and technology companies including PayPal, Venmo, Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, and Mercado Libre. The addition of XRP will now give its institutional partners another major digital asset.

Paxos has also been expanding the number of cryptocurrencies available through its platform during 2026. The company started the year with around 12 supported assets and has increased that figure to roughly 25–29 assets now. The company is on a mission to list top 50 cryptocurrencies by market cap. Each asset goes through a compliance review before listing.
