Ripple Prime Connects Crypto and Traditional Markets

The expanded partnership will provide access to multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services across traditional and digital asset markets. The move highlights growing institutional demand for infrastructure that connects crypto with conventional financial markets.

Ripple Prime was established in 2025 when Ripple acquired Hidden Road for $1.25 billion. Ripple Prime allows institutional clients to trade, clear, and finance a range of assets.

The markets supported by Ripple Prime include foreign exchange, listed and over-the-counter derivatives, equities, and digital assets (cryptocurrencies and stablecoins).

The platform also offers a unified collateral system. Institutions can use assets including $XRP, $RLUSD stablecoin, tokenized real-world assets, and traditional collateral to manage capital across different markets efficiently. However, the partnership does not guarantee any direct impact on $XRP price.

Brevan Howard Expands Access to Institutional Crypto Infrastructure

Brevan Howard focuses on global macro strategies and has also developed presence in digital assets. The investment manager had also participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment round in 2025 via its affiliates.

Through this partnership, Brevan Howard’s funds can access prime brokerage services across both TradFi and DeFi. The firm will now be able to manage positions and collateral across multiple asset classes through a unified infrastructure.

Ripple is using Ripple Prime to connect digital assets with institutional financial markets. The collaboration with Brevan Howard has come at a time when large financial institutions are seeking regulated infrastructure to step in cryptocurrency markets.
