FCA regulated and London-based CFDs broker Swissquote Ltd has announced a change in its Senior Management. The company says its former chief Executive Officer Federico Cirulli has stepped down from his position. As a result, Jack Rawlings and Michela Pollini have been appointed as Executive Directors.
The appointment is in line with the company’s business development goals to continue its expansion in the U.K. Swissquote UK declared a loss of £132,000 from reported revenue of £2.7 million in its 2020 fiscal year.
Swissquote To Expand Its Operations In The U.K.
Federico Cirulli has been acting as the Chief Executive Officer of Swissquote UK for the past eight years. He has also worked in other companies such as ActivTrades and at CMC Markets, where he was the Chief Executive Officer from 2006 to 2009.
Co-founder of Swissquote Group Holding Ltd, Marc Burk, who is also chairman of the UK entity board, commented on the development. “The UK office will remain a key pillar for our expansion and forex development,” he stated. Burk added that the company is looking to expand its instruments to serve its clients better and faster.
He also thanked Federico for the important roles he has played in the company over the years. The company will continue in its expansion plans and both Jack and Michela have the required experience to push the firm forward in the U.K market.
New Executives Come With Decades Of Experience
Michela is not a new face within the Swissquote community, as she has been with the company for seven years. She was previously the firm’s Head of Italian Desk before becoming the Head of Sales. She will now join forces with Jack to help achieve the strategic goals of Swissquote.
On the other hand, Jack has spent only a few years at Swissquote after joining in 2020. Before joining the company, he was the Head of Compliance at the UK operation of Polish Retail FX broker XTB. He will be taking up a similar role in Swissquote U.K.
Cirulli is an experienced forex executive who has been in the industry for almost 20 years. He has also headed MIG Capital as the Chief Executive Officer. He was also the Head of Southern Europe at CMC Markets, spending about four years in the company.
