Tether Freeze Covers Xinbi and Third-Party Addresses
Bitrace reported via its X account that the frozen funds were spread across 19 Xinbi Guarantee business addresses and two Xpay business addresses. The development highlights continued efforts to restrict stablecoin funds associated with high-risk escrow and guarantee platforms.
The latest figure is higher than an earlier estimate from MistTrack, a blockchain monitoring service of SlowMist. Its monitoring had identified approximately $39.27 million in USDT frozen across 10 TRON addresses associated with Xinbi Guarantee. One of those addresses reportedly contained more than $10 million. However, Bitrace’s latest stats reveal the total freeze accounts for 45 million $USDT.
Tether has not publicly confirmed the specific freezes or disclosed an official reason for the freeze. Bitrace has also revealed that the enforcement action also extended to certain third-party addresses that were not directly controlled by Xinbi Group. In its investigation, Bitrace has identified a Public Group Merchant address labeled “亨通集团全国拿现”. This address has reportedly processed more than $72 million in illicit funds over the previous year.
Xinbi Guarantee Faces Illicit Finance Scrutiny
Xinbi Guarantee has also faced allegations of facilitating money laundering services. This mostly includes allegations of money laundering involving proceeds from online scams. In March 2026, the United Kingdom sanctioned Xinbi Guarantee under its Global Human Rights sanctions regime for links to scam compounds.
The reported Xinbi-related freezes follow similar enforcement actions involving funds connected to Huione Guarantee. This is another Telegram-based escrow service that has faced scrutiny over illicit financial activity. Bitrace has advised centralized exchanges, OTC trading desks, and other virtual asset service providers to review user addresses for any connections to Guarantee Merchant wallets.
