Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) stock surged over 8.2% on 20th June, 2019 (As of 10:38 am GMT-4; Source: Google finance) though the company posted better than expected results for the fourth quarter of FY 19. For FY19, total Revenues were $39.5 billion, slightly higher in USD and up 3% in constant currency. Cloud Services and License Support revenues were $26.7 billion, while Cloud License and On-Premise License revenues were $5.9 billion. ORCL in the fourth quarter of FY 19 has reported the adjusted earnings per share of $1.16, beating the analysts’ estimates for the adjusted earnings per share by 9 cents. The company had reported the adjusted revenue growth of 4 percent to $11.14 billion in the fourth quarter of FY 19, beating the analysts’ estimates for revenue by $186 million. ERP and HCM annualized SaaS revenue is now at 2.9, or call it 3 billion, and it was up in the high-20s. Fusion apps revenue was plus 36% in Q4, and up 32% for the full year. Fusion HCM was up 25% in Q4, solid growth, with nice wins that I’ll discuss again in a second. Fusion ERP revenue was up 44% and also up 44% for the full year. NetSuite ERP was up 28% in Q4, as the strong momentum continues. Oracle’s business of licensing software grew by 12% year-over-year to $2.52 billion in the quarter. Cloud services and license support, the company’s largest unit, was up 0.5% to $6.79 billion. Hardware revenue fell 11% to $1.12 billion.

ORCL had 72% growth in bookings, in addition to what was a plus 30% growth in bookings this Q4. Non-GAAP operating income was 5.3 billion, up 7% from last year, and the operating margin was 47%, which was up from 46% last year. The non-GAAP tax rate for the quarter was at 16.4%, slightly below the base tax rate of 20%

ORCL repurchased 112 million shares for a total of $6 billion. Over the last 12 months, the company have repurchased 734 million shares for a total of 36 billion. ORCL has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.24 per share of outstanding common stock. This dividend will be paid to stockholders of record as of the close of business on July 17, 2019, with a payment date of July 31, 2019.
