X Links Cashtag with Coinbase, Kraken, Other Trading Platforms

X (formerly Twitter) has launched its US Cashtag Partner Program. With this program, it is allowing users to move from market discussions on the social media platform to trade stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies on brokerage platforms. The program is basically an expansion of the use of X’s existing Cashtags feature. The feature turns supported ticker symbols into interactive links where users can view live asset prices, charts, and related posts.

X Adds Trade Option to Cashtag Pages

FBS The Best Forex Broker

Under the new program, eligible Cashtag pages now include a “Trade” option. When users select it, they are directed to the website or app of a participating brokerage. Participating platforms include Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Interactive Brokers, and Moomoo. It means X is giving users several options for accessing trading services. Interactive Brokers is offering a $100 incentive to eligible clients who open and fund an account through the Cashtags experience.

Users can then sign in to an existing account or create a new one before completing their trade. The actual transactions take place on the brokerage’s platform. X does not execute, process, or custody the trades. However, the Cashtag Partner Program is currently available to United States-based users only.

Cashtags Connect Market Discussions with Trading

The newly updated feature allows X users to see an asset’s price chart on X before moving to a brokerage to place a trade. X introduced Cashtags earlier in 2026 for iPhone users in the U.S. and Canada before expanding the feature to the web. The feature provides real-time market information and collects related conversations for stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies.

The move is expected to make X a more integrated destination for users who follow financial and crypto discussions. This will allow them to discover assets, track prices, and access external trading platforms from the same experience.
