Bitfinex Securities Restarts Tokenized Bond Offering, Aims to Surge above $10M in Growth
Bitfinex Securities is now restarting the issuance of tokenized bonds through its exclusive MK Global Kapital Sàrl-managed ALTERNATIVE fund. With this renewed programme, Bitfinex Securities reportedly intends to expand future issuances above $10M. Since the start of collaboration in 2023, the platform has carried out the issuance of 4 tokenized bonds, equaling over $6.2M. 3 of the respective bonds have already matured and been completely repaid.
Apart from that, the programme has offered twenty coupon payments, reaching a total of more than $1.1M, to investors. Additionally, it has also denominated all instruments in the $USDt and settled them on the Liquid Network, which is a sidechain on the Bitcoin network for more confidential and faster transfers. The firm asserted that the matured bonds’ complete repayment shows the functional dependability of blockchain-led securities infrastructure.
At the same time, with the execution of capital raises, on-chain principal repayments, and coupon distributions, the model provides improved transparency in comparison with conventional bond procedures. Such a performance record has elevated Bitfinex Securities’ position among the key regulated platforms dealing with tokenized RWAs. Moreover, the platform tackles the complete lifecycle of diverse securities, taking into account investor onboarding, redemption workflows, secondary trading, listing, and issuance, guaranteeing regulatory compliance.
Boosting Investor Confidence and Transparency with On-Chain Bond Settlements
According to Bitfinex Securities’ Head of Operations, Jesse Knutson, the renewed issuance project is included in a wider strategy to broaden its portfolio of different tokenized securities. At the moment, the platform provides up to $250M in regulated digital securities, underscoring the rising interest of institutions in regulatory-compliant blockchain-driven capital markets. Overall, amid the increasing shift of conventional financial instruments on-chain, the platform attempts to connect worldwide investors with transparent, liquid, and regulated debt products on-chain.
