Forex Technical Cross Pairs analysis January 8, 2020

EUR/JPY

The level between 120.00 – 120.30 continues to become the key level to watch in EUR/JPY. Today, the pair dropped sharply toward the support area and we have a bounce reaction from the area. If EUR/JPY could maintain the positions at the current level and closed the day positive then traders will expect further upside toward 121.50.

Support: 120.30, 120.00

Resistance: 121.50, 122.00

EUR/GBP

Traders will continue waiting for further development in EUR/GBP for now as the pair consolidates. If the pair continues moving lower then traders could look for long positions near 0.8400.

Resistance: 0.8500, 0.8600, 0.8750

GBP/JPY

Sharp drop also experienced in GBP/JPY as Iran retaliate against the U.S. The pair pushed lower as traders and investors across the world rush into Japanese Yen which is one of the safe-haven currencies. However, the bearish pressure immediately recedes and currently GBP/JPY traded above its opening level. If the pair could close above 142.50 then traders could expect further upside in the coming days.

Support: 142.50, 141.00, 140.00

Resistance: 145.00

GBP/CHF

No change in the GBP/CHF outlook which is moving sideways. The pair traded in the middle of 1.2500 – 1.2900 for now and could go either way. The overall trend is bullish which suggests traders to prefer long positions than short positions.

Support: 1.2700, 1.2600, 1.2500, 1.2300

Resistance: 1.2900, 1.3000, 1.3060
