Tazapay Processes Over $25B in Annualized Payments
Tazapay provides cross-border payment services to payment service providers and financial institutions. Its existing network supports businesses in more than 100 markets. It has established relationships with over 60 banking and fintech partners. Moreover, it offers local payout rails across its supported markets.
Tazapay currently processes more than $25 billion in annualized payment volume. According to Circle, over 60% of that volume already goes via stablecoins. This highlights the growing role of digital assets in cross-border payments.
The company also brings a payments-focused team and an established institutional customer base to Circle. Tazapay has worked as a design partner for the Circle Payments Network since 2025.
Circle Targets Wider USDC Adoption
Circle said the acquisition of Tazapay will support its broader effort to build infrastructure for decentralized finance (DeFi). This will help to expand stablecoin-based payment capabilities for international businesses. Circle CEO and Chairman Jeremy Allaire said combining $USDC with Tazapay banking relationships and institutional user base will accelerate the adoption of $USDC.
The transaction is structured as an all-stock acquisition valued at approximately $400 million. The deal is expected to close in 2027 after both platforms satisfy customary closing conditions. The transaction will also require approval from relevant authorities, including the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
The acquisition is built on Circle’s existing relationship with Tazapay. Earlier in 2026, Circle Ventures led a Series B extension for Tazapay.
