Coinbase, a top crypto exchange, has partnered with Stablecore, a stablecoins infrastructure platform. The partnership intends to help thousands of US community banks and credit unions to offer crypto and stablecoin services. Coinbase will help them to provide digital asset services through their existing banking apps and platforms. The collaboration will integrate regulated digital asset custody, trading, and payment infrastructure of Coinbase into the systems used by smaller financial institutions.

Coinbase Brings Digital Asset Services to Local Banks
Coinbase announced the partnership today via its official X account. As per the announcement, the integration will bring crypto and stablecoin services to more than 3,000 US banks.

The integration is designed to allow financial institutions to add crypto-related services without requiring customers to use a separate crypto platform. Customers will be able to easily access digital assets through the same banking applications they already use.
Stablecore Connects Banks With Crypto Infrastructure
Stablecore provides a digital asset infrastructure platform built for community and regional banks and credit unions. Its services include stablecoin accounts and payments, tokenized deposits, digital asset accounts, and on- and off-ramps.
Stablecore’s infrastructure allows financial institutions to add digital asset capabilities without replacing their existing banking technology. It is designed to connect traditional banking systems with blockchain-based financial services.
Coinbase Ventures previously participated in Stablecore’s funding too. This gives both the companies an existing connection within the digital asset sector. Today’s partnership will also help smaller financial institutions respond to increasing interest in crypto and stablecoins.
The latest agreement follows Coinbase’s recent efforts to bring stablecoin infrastructure into the US financial system. Earlier this month, the exchange announced a partnership with payments provider Moov to provide stablecoin payment acceptance, and settlement.
The partnership comes as US financial institutions continue exploring stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and other blockchain-based financial services. The SEC has already announced exemptions for tokenized US stocks trading.
