Forex Technical Cross Pairs Analysis | October 20, 2022

EUR/JPY

EUR/JPY made a bearish close yesterday but not a significant bearish close. The pair is currently trading upward and back on track to target the 148.50 – 151.50 area. There is no change to the bullish trend yet which means traders better avoid short positions. If the pair start a bearish correction then traders could wait near the support level for the chance to enter long positions.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 145.00, 140.50, 137.40

Resistance: 148.50, 151.50

EUR/GBP

EUR/GBP could not break out and close above the 0.8700 – 0.8750 resistance level. The pair initially traded upward but is currently back near the opening level. If the pair continues moving lower then it will confirm the continuation of the bearish trend. Traders will continue to monitor the pair reactions near 0.8700 – 0.8750 for now.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 0.8600, 0.8580

Resistance: 0.8700, 0.8750, 0.8900, 0.9000

GBP/JPY

GBP/JPY hanging near the high and currently consolidating. The pair is back in a bullish trend and will target a new higher high on the chart. Traders will wait for a bearish correction toward the 164.00 level for the chance to enter long positions. It is better to avoid short positions until major bearish reactions happen.

Today Critical level to watch:

Support: 161.00, 156.58, 153.50

Resistance: 164.00

GBP/CHF

GBP/CHF trading sideway near the 1.1200 level and might continue the ranging movement for now. Traders will continue to observe the pair reactions at the 1.1200 level. A close below 1.12000 might confirm the continuation of a bearish trend. If the pair could continue the bullish movement then 1.1530 – 1.1600 is the bullish target.

Resistance: 1.1530, 1.1600, 1.1750
