Forex Technical Cross Pairs Analysis | September 14, 2023

EUR/JPY

EUR/JPY moved lower again in today’s trading session. The pair’s bearish movement has moderate momentum but no lower low printed on the chart yet. On the lower side, 154.00 – 155.00 is the support area to watch for bullish reactions. We might see the pair continue under bearish pressure nearing next week’s FOMC meeting. The pair’s next long-term direction might be determined after the Fed announcement.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 155.00, 154.00, 151.50, 148.50

Resistance: 160.00, 162.87, 171.00

EUR/GBP

EUR/GBP failed to extend the bullish close above 0.8600. The pair made a bearish close yesterday and there is a bearish continuation in today’s session. If the pair could print another lower low on the chart then the bearish trend could continue. On the upside, despite the bullish failure, we have a new higher high which could indicate an initial bullish reversal.

Resistance: 0.8700, 0.8750

GBP/JPY

GBP/JPY has reached the 182.45 level again and is set to test it. A consolidation might happen before next week’s FOMC meeting. Will the pair continue its bullish trend and bounce from the 182.45 level to target a new higher high? Alternatively, will it extend the bearish movement to test the 178.50 support level?

Today’s Critical level to watch:

Support: 182.45, 178.50, 172.00, 170.00, 168.50

GBP/CHF

GBP/CHF failed to extend the bullish close yesterday and moved lower with moderate momentum today. The pair has erased all of the gain incurred yesterday. No change to the ranging situation though, traders will continue to monitor the pair movement between the 1.1100 – 1.1225 area. Without a breakout, the consolidation inside the range will continue.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.1100, 1.0500, 1.0000

Resistance: 1.1200, 1.1530, 1.1600, 1.1750
