Forex Technical Major Pairs Analysis | December 22, 2025

USDX (USD Index)

The U.S. dollar index opened slightly lower compared to last week’s close, keeping the broader bearish bias intact. While the recent rebound suggests a short-term bullish correction is possible, overall structure still favors further downside. If the bullish correction continues, then traders will wait for reactions near the 98.97 level for bearish reactions. A confirmed bearish reaction is a signal for traders to enter short positions in U.S. dollar.

EUR/USD

FBS The Best Forex Broker

EUR/USD continues to trade under bearish pressure, but the pair is holding firmly above the 1.1710 support level. Selling momentum remains limited, indicating consolidation rather than a clear breakdown. Traders who hold long positions from the 1.1500 bounce will continue to maintain positions with stop orders below 1.1615 or 1.1580. A deeper pullback toward the previously broken swing high around 1.1680 remains a potential area to add long positions.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.1710, 1.1580, 1.1500, 1.1360, 1.1300

Resistance: 1.1820

GBP/USD

GBP/USD continues to trade inside the 1.3300–1.3450 range. Price action remains volatile but directionless, with neither buyers nor sellers gaining clear control. Traders will continue to wait for a breakout from this range for confirmation. A daily close above 1.3450 would open the path for bullish continuation toward 1.3600, while failure to hold above 1.3300 may expose the pair to deeper downside.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.3330, 1.3300, 1.3250, 1.3125, 1.3050, 1.3000

Resistance: 1.3450

USD/JPY

USD/JPY posted a strong bullish close following the BOJ interest-rate decision, confirming strong buying momentum. Although the pair is currently under minor pressure, price continues to hold near the recent high. Traders expect the bullish movement to continue after the strong rally, while monitoring for any loss of momentum near resistance levels.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 155.00, 153.00, 151.00

Resistance: 158.89, 160.00

AUD/USD

AUD/USD continues to trade higher and is holding above last Friday’s high. Price remains inside the previous bearish candlestick range, but bullish pressure is building, and a breakout attempt is possible. Traders will continue to observe price action closely, as confirmation is still needed before committing to new positions. On the lower side, if bearish correction continue, then the green box area is the target to watch.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 0.6600, 0.6560, 0.6500

Resistance: 0.6700, 0.6750, 0.6820
