USDX (USD Index)
The U.S. Dollar Index turned higher again today, driven potentially by market expectations ahead of the hawkish FOMC meeting this week. The index maintains a bullish tone as buyers push price action back toward upper resistance levels. On the upside, the 103.00 – 103.74 area serves as the primary technical target zone for the current expansion
EUR/USD
EUR/USD remains under active bearish pressure, trading below the key 1.1185 horizontal level. The pair might extend its weakness toward 1.1120 to test that immediate support floor once again. A decisive breakout below 1.1120 will open the path toward the 1.1000 psychological target
Today’s critical levels to watch:
Support: 1.1185, 1.1120
Resistance: 1.1300, 1.1360, 1.1500, 1.1580, 1.1710, 1.1820
GBP/USD
GBP/USD faced a clear rejection from the daily SMA 200, with price action now sitting near the 1.3330 support area. Following this bearish rejection, and assuming the broader trend continues, we might see a downward attempt to print a new lower swing low. Sellers remain in control as long as price stays capped below moving average resistance.
Today’s critical levels to watch:
Support: 1.3330, 1.3300, 1.3250
Resistance: 1.3450, 1.3600
USD/JPY
USD/JPY turned higher today after its recent drop off the daily SMA 200 resistance. Overall, the pair stays in a bearish posture as long as it fails to print a new higher swing high. If bearish pressure resumes, price action will target a new lower swing low within the prevailing downtrend.
Today’s critical levels to watch:
Support: 155.50, 154.00, 150.00
Resistance: 158.89
