OKX, a renowned crypto exchange, has introduced a unified euro order book. This order book has combined fiat euro (EUR) liquidity with Circle’s euro-backed stablecoin $EURC. With this step, OKX is allowing eligible users across the European Economic Area (EEA) to access a shared trading pool. Users can convert between the two assets at a 1:1 rate. OKX announced this news on X officially. Circle, the issuer of $EURC and $USDC, has also highlighted the integration.
We’re setting a new standard for euro-denominated crypto trading with EURC.
By integrating EURC by @circle into our unified EUR order book, EEA traders can access fiat and stablecoin liquidity through one market, another key step toward building Europe’s leading financial app.

The integration enables traders to access a combined liquidity pool while choosing to settle transactions in either euros or EURC. The feature will allow users to manage their crypto trading activity in euro without routing transactions through dollar-denominated markets.

Unified Order Book Aims to Improve Euro Market Liquidity
The new system brings $EUR and $EURC trading activity into a single order book. This move addresses the existing liquidity fragmentation issue because these two assets traded in separate markets. By combining their liquidity, OKX is creating a more consolidated market. Additionally, the arrangement will potentially reduce spreads.
OKX has positioned the euro integration as part of its broader strategy to expand its financial services in Europe. The feature is designed to help customers who prefer to manage their finances in euros and trade digital assets.
EURC Integration Strengthens Euro Stablecoin Utility
Despite growing interest in regulated digital currencies, euro-denominated stablecoins remain a relatively small segment of the stablecoin market. The unified order book will provide EURC with greater utility by making it easier for traders to access crypto markets. However, the extent of its impact will depend on adoption, trading volumes, and liquidity.
Availability is limited to eligible customers in supported EEA jurisdictions. In other words, the feature will not be initially accessible to every OKX user worldwide.
For European traders, the main potential benefits include access to a combined liquidity pool and simpler EUR-to-EURC conversions. The launch may also support the broader development of euro-based digital asset markets.
