Solv Protocol, a well-known DeFi entity, has announced the exclusive shift of tokenized $BTC infrastructure network worth of $700M+. Solv Protocol has migrated this infrastructure from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP. As Solv Protocol disclosed in its official press release, the development will influence xSolvBTC and SolvBTC, which are among the platform’s primary tokenized Bitcoin assets. Additionally, the development takes place after a comprehensive security review that Solv Protocol carried out amid growing apprehensions regarding vulnerabilities concerning the cross-chain bridge stack.
After an extensive security review, we have decided to deprecate @LayerZero_Core bridges for SolvBTC and xSolvBTC, and migrate to @Chainlink CCIP as our official cross-chain infrastructure solution for $700M+ in tokenized BTC (SolvBTC & xSolvBTC).

Solv Protocol Shifts Tokenized $BTC Infrastructure from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP
Solv Protocol has formally transferred the tokenized $BTC infrastructure stack of almost $700+ from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP. The move will be crucial for xSolvBTC and SolvBTC, coming after a prolonged security review performed across the DeFi sphere. Chainlink CCIP provided the most solid security assurances based on its secure-by-default framework, risk management model, and proactive monitoring. With this development, the platform endeavors to provide institutional-level security and fortify trust in cross-chain $BTC transactions across its network.
Specifically, the migration will take into account the deprecation of the current LayerZero bridge backing for xSolvBTC and SolvBTC across diverse blockchain networks, taking into account TAC, Rootstock, Berachain, and Corn. Consolidation of its interoperability mechanism under Chainlink CCIP is set to notably minimize risk exposure, along with enhancing the dependability of asset transactions across chains. Adding to this, the defense-in-depth security stack and long-standing functional track record of Chainlink CCIP make it a critical benchmark for decentralized interoperability. Moreover, the White House has officially acknowledged the Chainlink infrastructure backing the digital asset network, further building trust in the technology.
Strengthening Security for Tokenized Bitcoin with Battle-Tested Blockchain Security Benchmarks
According to Chainlink Labs’ Chief Business Officer, Johann Eid, the partnership highlights a wider DeFi trend, where prominent protocols are leveraging robust security models, backing blockchain adoption in the mainstream. Additionally, Solv Protocol’s Chief Technology Officer, Will Wang, asserted that migration to Chainlink CCIP guarantees the protection of xSolvBTC and SolvBTC transactions by a significantly stronger infrastructure that meets institutional benchmarks.
