GBP/CHF Completes Retest, Upside Targets Next?

GBPCHF has pulled back sharply after hitting a swing high near the 1.0736 level, and the pair is currently testing a key area of interest where buyers could look to return and push the pair back toward its highs.

Price has retraced to the 0.382 Fibonacci level at 1.0644, which is in the vicinity of the current trading price at 1.0632. A hold at this level could be enough to draw bulls back into the fold and resume the climb.

A stronger climb, however, could still reach the 50% Fib at 1.0662 or the 61.8% level at 1.06798 before buyers regain control. The 0% swing low at 1.05874 marks the line in the sand for the broader bullish scenario.

If any of these levels manage to keep losses in check, GBP/CHF could set its sights on the Fibonacci extension targets, with the 76.4% level at 1.07016 and the full extension at 1.0736 back in play. A break above the swing high could then open the doors to fresh highs beyond the measured move.

The 100 SMA is above the 200 SMA to confirm that the path of least resistance is to the upside or that the broader uptrend is more likely to gain traction than to reverse. The rising trend line connecting the higher lows also remains intact, adding another layer of support near current levels.

Stochastic has tumbled from the overbought zone and is now approaching the oversold region, reflecting exhaustion among sellers and suggesting that a bullish reversal could be just around the corner. A crossover to the upside from this area would signal that buyers are ready to take the reins again.

RSI has similarly dipped sharply from elevated levels and is hovering near the lower end of its range, leaving plenty of room for a recovery bounce to gain momentum without running into overbought resistance too soon.
