EUR/NZD has formed lower highs and higher lows to consolidate inside a symmetrical triangle forming on its hourly time frame. Price has bounced sharply off the triangle bottom and is closing in on the resistance, possibly gearing for another bounce or a bullish breakout.
The pair is currently trading around the 1.9000 psychological level, which is serving as an immediate resistance zone. Price has recently rebounded from the channel’s lower trendline near 1.8800, suggesting bulls are defending this support area with conviction.
Looking at the moving averages, the 100 SMA (blue line) has crossed above the 200 SMA (red line), forming a golden cross that indicates strengthening bullish momentum. Price is currently testing the 100 SMA as resistance, with recent candles showing rejection but remaining above the 200 SMA, which could provide dynamic support on pullbacks.

The Stochastic oscillator shows readings approaching overbought territory but hasn’t yet reached extreme levels. This suggests there could still be room for further gains before a potential reversal occurs.
Meanwhile, the MACD indicator displays a bullish crossover with the histogram bars turning positive, confirming the potential shift in momentum to the upside.
Key resistance levels to watch include the recent swing high around 1.9100 and the upper boundary of the ascending channel. If bulls manage to push above these levels, we could see acceleration toward the 1.9200-1.9250 zone.
On the downside, support is found at the 200 SMA near 1.8900, followed by the lower trendline of the channel around 1.8800. A daily close below this support zone could invalidate the bullish scenario and potentially trigger a deeper correction toward 1.8700.
Traders should watch for potential reversal candlestick patterns at resistance levels or continuation patterns at support zones to confirm the next directional move. The current setup suggests a cautiously bullish outlook as long as price remains within or above the triangle, with the 1.9000 level being crucial for determining short-term direction.
