Forex Technical Cross Pairs Analysis | September 18, 2026

EUR/JPY

EUR/JPY experienced a sudden upward impulse, likely triggering buy-stops above recent resistance levels before quickly running out of momentum. Following the move, Fibonacci retracement levels have been adjusted to account for the new swing low, helping outline key resistance zones where bearish rejections are expected to materialize. The brief bullish spark has already lost upward pressure, giving back roughly 70% of its initial advance as sellers step back in to drive price action lower.

EUR/GBP

EUR/GBP printed another strong bearish reaction after falling back below the 0.8580 support level. The overall technical outlook remains firmly bearish, with sellers targeting a fresh lower swing low. On the upside, the bearish scenario remains valid as long as prices stay capped below resistance; a daily close above 0.8620 serves as the primary invalidation level for the short bias.

GBP/JPY

Following a pattern similar to other Yen pairs, GBP/JPY saw an upward impulse that quickly exhausted itself as buying pressure faded. The pair remains firmly in a broader downtrend, and price action is expected to resume its bearish trajectory. Downside targets remain focused on the 161.8% Fibonacci extension level as the next major structural goal.

GBP/CHF

Despite facing notable bearish pressure, printing a negative close, and probing a new lower low, GBP/CHF managed to settle back inside its horizontal consolidation range. With no confirmed daily breakout beneath range support, the breakdown remains unfulfilled. The pair is expected to remain in a sideways consolidation phase until a decisive close outside the current boundaries dictates the next directional leg.
