Jabil Inc (NYSE:JBL) surpasses analysts’ expectations

Jabil Inc (NYSE:JBL), a manufacturing solutions provider with over 260,000 employees across 100 locations in 30 countries, stock fell 0.91% (As on December 16, 12:11:36 AM UTC-4, Source: Google Finance) after the company posted better than expected results for the first quarter of FY 23. Diversified Manufacturing Services (DMS) year-on-year revenue growth was 8 percent and  Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) year-on-year revenue growth: 18 percent. The company has delivered Core operating income (Non-GAAP) of $461 million.

JBL in the first quarter of FY 23 has reported the adjusted earnings per share of $2.31, beating the analysts’ estimates for the adjusted earnings per share of $2.25. The company had reported the adjusted revenue growth of 12 percent to $9.6 billion in the first quarter of FY 23, beating the analysts’ estimates for revenue of $9.31 billion.

Jabil Circuit expects Q2 2023 EPS of $1.64-$2.04 versus the analyst consensus of $1.81. Jabil Circuit expects Q2 2023 revenue of $7.80B-$8.40B versus the analyst consensus of $7.95B.

For fiscal 2023, the company said it now expects core EPS of $8.40, an increase of $0.25 from its previous outlook.

Additionally, the company has paid a quarterly dividend of $0.08 per share of common stock to shareholders of record as of November 15, 2022. In addition, the company had announced that Kenny Wilson has been named as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer and will continue to work closely with Mark Mondello, Jabil’s current Chairman and CEO, before assuming the role of CEO on May 1, 2023. Wilson joined the company in 2000 and has admirably delivered for Jabil, on assignments in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Most recently, he has held the title of Executive Vice President, successfully leading the Jabil Greenpoint Team.

On the other hand, the company has officially opened a new design center in Wroclaw, Poland, that will develop leading-edge technologies for multiple industries including the automotive and healthcare sectors. The opening of the 10,000 square foot center will provide a number of highly skilled engineering jobs and extends Jabil’s design capabilities in concept feasibility, development engineering, industrialization, material technology and advanced manufacturing technology. Jabil’s design center in Wroclaw has a range of capabilities that include electronic power design, industrialization support, mechanical design, printed circuit board design, project management and value add/value engineering.
