Lack of direction in the stock market will likely end after U.S stock market moving down at the start of the week. All the main indices are down although 18,000 not yet conquered by the bear. Lower closed on Monday incited by weaker than expected U.S data included the manufaturing index which came out at -6.8 compared to 1.1 expected; also industrial production came short at 0.1% vs. 0.3% estimate.
The market will wait for further confirmation and might moving in a lackluster manner.
Asian Market
Asian stock market higher after RBA decides to hold rate steady and retreat of U.S dollar. The market move cautiously though as there are barrages of data release from China on Wednesday and the third U.S presidential debate. Defying U.S market decline, Nikkei up 63.49 points (0.38%), Shang Hai Composite up 42.05 points (1.38%), and Australia ASX 200 up 22.12 points (0.41%).
Gold futures up 0.49% and crude oil futures also advance 0.71%.
Dalian Wanda Group Co disclosed incentives more than $150 million to entice film-maker into its new studio complex at Qingdao. Companies such as Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., Arclight Films reported have agreed to use the studio complex.
Earnings report, Merger-Acquisition, Shares report
Netflix (NFLX) shares jumped 19.62% in after hour after reported boom more than 50% in its third quarter subscription. The strange boom contributed to its revenue of $2.29 billion and earnings per share of 12 cents, beating the estimate of revenue $2.28 billion and earnings per share of 6 cents.
William Hill abandons its merger talk with Amaya after the largest online poker company pressured by its largest shareholder.
Caterpillar (CAT) Doug Oberhelman CEO and chairman will retire next year. He will be replaced by Jim Umpleby as CEO and Dave Calhoun Blackstone Group LP as chairman.
