This program is designed by International Franchise Association (IFA) specially for veterans pof the US Military. VetFran has two important missions, namely, to educate veterans and franchisors about the opportunities of franchising business. This is based on the research findings that veterans make great businesses, particularly franchises.

The second mission is to facilitate veterans who are transitioning into franchises. The organization collaborates with franchisors and encourages them to offer special discounts and incentives for veterans and their family members.

VBOC

This is one of free entrepreneurship programs for veterans. The Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) offers this in collaboration with the US Small Business Administration (SBA) and more than 22 organizations. The program includes counseling, business training, and resource partner referrals. The program is available for:

  • Transitioning service members
  • Active members of National Guard and Reserve members
  • Military spouses, who are interesting in growing a small business
