Stock Futures Tick Higher as Markets Look to Extend Post-Fed Bounce
Major U.S. stock index futures are trading slightly higher on Friday morning as market participants attempt to build on Thursday’s post-Fed rebound. Dow Jones futures ticked up 26.00 points (+0.05%) to 52,246.00, while S&P 500 futures added 12.50 points (+0.16%) to 7,719.75. Tech-heavy Nasdaq futures led the gains, rising 127.25 points (+0.43%) to reach 29,870.25. Investor sentiment appears to be stabilizing as markets digest recent monetary policy updates following Thursday’s broad-based recovery.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
Dow Jones Industrial Average continues to hold ground near its daily 100 EMA at 51,792.47, with positive pre-market futures signaling potential for an upward bounce during today’s session. If buyers step in and turn the index higher, the previously broken ascending trendline will serve as the primary resistance level to watch on the upside. Conversely, if momentum falters and the index resumes its downward movement, selling pressure could drive price action lower toward the 200 EMA near 50,222.35 as the next major downside target.
