Forex Technical Cross Pairs Analysis | May 17, 2022

EUR/JPY

EUR/JPY bounced upward and return above the 134.50 – 135.00 area. The pair currently moving upward with moderate bullish momentum and might reach the 137.40 level soon. We expect the bullish trend will continue but a new higher high is needed to confirm the bullish continuation. In the previous downward movement, the pair formed a lower low which might signal a trend reversal.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 135.00, 134.50, 132.00, 131.50

Resistance: 137.40, 140.50

EUR/GBP

EUR/GBP pushed lower toward the 0.8400 support level and immediately bounce from it today. The pair recover most of its losses and currently trading near the opening level. If the pair could build more bullish pressure and breakout above 0.8500 after the bounce then the bullish trend is set to continue.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 0.8400

Resistance: 0.8500, 0.8580, 0.8600

GBP/JPY

GBP/JPY bounce from 156.58 – 158.15 built more bullish momentum and distance itself from the support area. Under the current situation, the bullish trend is maintained and traders will expect continuation to form a new higher high. On the lower side, if the pair closes below 156.58 then the current bullish trend will be canceled.

Today Critical level to watch:

Support: 158.15, 156.58

Resistance: 160.00, 165.00, 170.00

GBP/CHF

GBP/CHF breakout from the 1.2125 – 1.2300 range and currently trading upward. No higher high printed yet on the chart but the bullish trend might continue. Traders will monitor the pair movement near the previous swing high now. If the pair could breakout above the high and close above 1.2500 then we will have strong bullish confirmation.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.2300, 1.2125, 1.2000

Resistance: 1.2416, 1.2500
