Klaytn Foundation, a core programmer and code administrator of the Klaytn Network, has said that it will be updating the channel’s governance structure and the token structure of native KLAY coins. Klaytn will assist in the transformation of the Klaytn blockchain to a formation of completely permissionless verifiers. It provides chances for members of the general public to interact as block verifiers. It will also initiate a communications system for members of the Klaytn group to become involved in the decision-making procedures of Klaytn.
Klaytn Foundation and Governing Council to Improve KLAY Token with Decentralization Features
It is anticipated that the implementation of these modifications will improve Klaytn’s general technical capabilities. It includes income sustainability and decentralization features. They all will contribute to an increase in the value of KLAY in the long run. In order to put these changes into effect, the Klaytn Foundation will collaborate with the Klaytn Governing Council (GC). It is presently comprised of members in the Klaytn network and is responsible for its governance.

The Klaytn will maintain its role as a body that makes decisions about the growth projects of the Klaytn ecosystem. It will also continue to propose key objectives for the Klaytn network. The decision-making power of GC members will increase further. And it will support initiatives based on the selections that GC members make rather than the company’s judgments.
Klaytn Implements Open Governance System to Increase Transparency and Prevent Governance Issues
Using Klaytn Square, a system for governance, the company will also increase openness in decision-making. It will make public the on-chain election agendas and results for GC. These kinds of actions can assist in preventing a recurrence of the governance drama that has occurred in recent weeks: At the beginning of February, community members of the decentralized exchange Uniswap were arguing about the voting rights owned by the prominent investor a16z. They believed it to be unfairly weighted. After weeks of political manoeuvring behind the scenes, the fund was ultimately unsuccessful in winning the vote.
Beginning on Monday, Klaytn will provide the GC with a modified version of its tokenomics plan. In response to the comments from the community, this contains a recommendation on how to handle the uncirculated KLAY tokens, also known as reserves. On February 28th, all finalized agendas and proposals, as well as a technological framework for 2023. It will be available to the public soon.
