SIX has become popular in the crypto sector following the crypto boom this year. Various issuers of ETPs around the globe joined the platform in a bid to launch various products affiliated with crypto assets.
At the beginning of the year, ETC Group, a financial service firm in London, collaborated with the Switzerland Stock Exchange to launch a Bitcoin exchange-traded product (ETP) under the ticker symbol, BTCE. The ETP is expected to trade in London after the jurisdiction allowed financial services approved in Switzerland to operate in London. Earlier in the year, Coinshares digital asset management firm also launched a Bitcoin ETP on the exchange.
In April 2021, SEBA Bank, a leading financial service provider in the Swiss market, also joined the Switzerland Stock Exchange to issue a crypto ETP.
