U.S stock futures slightly lower

The stock market looks weak before the opening bell. It seems the market is pausing to gauge whether tariff war will intensify or easing. Yesterday close give traders more insight on the situation as the market could move aggressively depend on tariff war development. Under current situation, traders who want to minimize the risk could trade with small size and adding more positions when the market have more clarity on the situation.

Technical Analysis

Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU)

DJIA index is in recovery period after massive sell-off. Despite the historic bounce, there is no upward continuation to fill the gap yet. It seems the market still uncertain whether the current upward movement is sustainable and prepare for sell-off continuation. As mentioned before, we will prepare for gap close situation and possible second wave of downward movement before the market made major bullish reversal.

However, if the index continues upward, breakout above daily SMA 200 with strong bullish momentum, then the situation will turn bullish.

Tradeweb Market Inc (TW)

TW share prices looks bouncing from the daily SMA 200 and closed near the daily SMA 100. The share prices might continue moving upward and resume the bullish trend. However, traders will take note that the share prices forming a broadening pattern now. It could print new higher swing high also lower swing low. The bull and the bear will fight within wide range, and traders who decide to enter positions will expect to place wide stop order to anticipate movement.
