Stock Futures Edge Up After Bond Sell-Off as Investors Gauge Market Direction

U.S. stock futures traded higher ahead of the market opening bell as investors attempted to stabilize and recover from a yield-driven sell-off in the previous session. Market participants are closely watching bond yield fluctuations and key structural levels to assess whether the recent pullbacks present fresh buying opportunities or signal deeper corrections across major benchmark indices. Consequently, Dow futures gained 191.00 points (+0.36%) to sit at 53,040.00, S&P 500 futures added 23.75 points (+0.31%) to reach 7,686.25, and Nasdaq futures rose 149.00 points (+0.51%) to trade at 29,449.50.

Dow Jones Industrial Average

Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index dropped 703.84 points (-1.32%) to close at 52,759.21 as strong bearish momentum took hold during the previous session. This sharp drop might turn into further downside, targeting the ascending trendline support below current price action. Traders will likely wait until the bearish momentum fades and a clear bullish reversal occurs before looking to add more long positions in stocks.

BlackBerry Limited (BB)

Shares of BlackBerry Limited (BB) previously bounced off the 100 EMA ($7.93), but the move lacked strong bullish momentum. The share prices have since turned back lower and are now getting near the 100 EMA again. If price action can bounce off the moving average once more, it will form a new higher swing low. On the upside, printing a new higher swing high will confirm the continuation of the bullish trend.
