Salesforce Inc (NYSE:CRM) stock rose 0.12% (As on August 29, 11:25:09 AM UTC-4, Source: Google Finance) after the company gave an earnings forecast for the fiscal year that topped analysts’ estimates, trying to satisfy investors who have concerns over slowing sales growth at the software giant. The company delivered non-GAAP Operating Margin of 33.7%. Current Remaining Performance Obligation of $26.5 Billion, up 10% Y/Y, up 11% Y/Y in CC. Second Quarter Operating Cash Flow of $0.89 Billion, up 10% Y/Y, and Free Cash Flow of $0.76 Billion, up 20% Y/Y. The company has returned $4.3 Billion in the Form of Share Repurchases and $0.4 Billion in Dividend Payments to Stockholders. With the new Agentforce AI platform, the company is reimagining enterprise software for a new world where humans with autonomous Agents drive customer success together.

CRM in the second quarter of FY 25 has reported the adjusted earnings per share of $2.56, beating the analysts’ estimates for the adjusted earnings per share of $2.35. The company had reported the adjusted revenue growth of 8 percent to $9.33 billion in the second quarter of FY 25, beating the analysts’ estimates for revenue of $9.23 billion.

Profit will be $10.03 a share to $10.11 a share in the year ending in January, compared with an earlier forecast of as much as $9.94. Analysts, on average, estimated $9.91. The company affirmed its fiscal-year revenue outlook to be in the range of $37.7 billion to $38 billion. Salesforce raised its annual forecast for adjusted operating margin slightly to 32.8%, compared with a previous forecast of 32.5%. The subscription and support revenue growth is expected to be of approximately 10% year over year in constant currency. The company raises full year FY25 operating cash flow growth to be in the range of 23% to 25% Y/Y

The results showed signs of stabilization and small improvement, which is a good sign in a tough buying environment for software, said Anurag Rana, an analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence. “There is more pressure on your traditional software businesses at this point as clients are moving a lot more of their funding toward buying GPUs,” he said, referring to graphics processing units, the chips that power AI.

Salesforce also announced that Weaver is stepping down after four years as CFO. Weaver, who joined Salesforce in 2013, will remain in the post until the end of the fiscal year, then will help with the transition after her successor is named, the company said.
