Bybit, the leading crypto exchange in the world, has announced the expansion of its partnership with Thredd, a renowned payment processor. To broaden its collaboration with Thredd, Bybit is leveraging robust infrastructure to back its flagship Bybit Card at the regional level to deliver multi-currency crypto payments. As Bybit reveals in its official press release, the rollout bridges the gap between traditional payments and digital payments across the globe. Hence, the partnership is set to redefine the interaction between the crypto holders and the worldwide real-world payment systems. Earlier, Mastercard also enabled crypto payments.

Bybit and Thredd Partnership Advances with Bybit Card’s Launch
As a part of this collaboration, Bybit is utilizing the infrastructure provided by Thredd to support the regional launch of its Bybit Card. Bybit Card is its flagship multi-currency card for crypto-linked payment. The development is focused on streamlining the everyday payment across diverse global financial markets with digital assets.
Apart from that, Thredd’s payment infrastructure enables the issuance of both physical and virtual payment cards. As a result of this, the consumers can spend crypto holdings in the form of fiat currencies in real time. Additionally, the partnership also takes into account complete wallet tokenization, real-time control over cards, and localized BIN.
Adding to the rising growth of Bybit Card, more than 2M consumers are utilizing it for global financial access, unparalleled crypto-to-fiat convenience, and massive cardholder rewards. Additionally, Thredd’s infrastructure fulfills the regulatory requirements, letting Bybit configure market-centered programs with one connection. At the same time, it also permits Bybit to retain centralized visibility while also rapidly expanding across diverse markets.
Driving Worldwide Fiat-Crypto Merger with Real-World Utility for Borderless Payment
According to Bybit, driving its partnership further, it is using Thredd’s infrastructure to release physical and virtual Mastercard and Visa cards. The move also backs the zonal launch of Bybit Card, letting consumers spend crypto in the form of fiat. Additionally, while Bybit is expanding its worldwide footprint, Thredd backs market entry via regional BIN issuance as well as real-time card control attributes.
While discussing the development, Thredd’s CEO, Jim McCarthy, asserted that the partnership helps bring real-world utility to crypto. Moreover, Bybit’s Head of Marketing Payment Business Unit, Sophie Chen, mentioned that the development fills the gap between everyday commerce and crypto world, delivering borderless and seamless payment experience.
