DoorDash Inc (NASDAQ:DASH) Says Total Orders Jumped 32%

DoorDash Inc (NASDAQ:DASH) stock rose 4.93% (As on February 19, 11:32:57 AM UTC-4, Source: Google Finance) after the company unveiled a stronger-than-anticipated forecast for first-quarter marketplace gross order value thanks to solid demand. Total orders jumped 32% to 903 million, while marketplace GOV increased 39% to $29.7 billion. Adjusted EBITDA rose 38% to $780 million, representing 2.6% of marketplace GOV, down from 2.7% in the year-ago period. But adjusted core earnings for the period are seen at $675 million to $775 million, missing estimates of $798.22 million. The company cited three factors swirling around the outlook: incremental investments in Deliveroo, an estimated $20 million direct impact from severe storms in the U.S., and a quarterly increase in the costs per order of independent delivery workers. The company completed its acquisition of Deliveroo in early October, as part of a bid to expand its operations beyond core U.S. restaurants into more international markets. DoorDash noted that annualized growth in total orders from Deliveroo accelerated in the fourth quarter with a contribution to adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization that slightly exceeded the company’s expectation of $45 million.

Moreover, the company exited the year with over 56 million monthly active users (MAUs) and over 35 million DashPass, Wolt+, and Deliveroo Plus members. The company also completed a number of acquisitions in 2025 that expand the capabilities and reach, and new venues signed at SevenRooms increased over 100% Y/Y in December, the company nearly doubled the number of advertising partners through Symbiosis from June to December, and the company accelerated Y/Y growth in Total Orders from Deliveroo in Q4 2025.
