The Head of FX Dealer at easyMarkets for the Asia Pacific region, Anthony Darvall, has resigned from the forex brokerage platform. Darvall will leave easyMarkets after working with the company for nearly 15 years. Following his resignation, Darvall will concentrate on Traderflow, a Web3 fintech startup he plans to launch.
Anthony Darvall resigns from easyMarkets
Darvall firsts started working at easyMarkets in May 2008 after joining the brokerage’s division in Australia. At the time of joining the company, Darvall served as an APAC Chief Market Analyst and FX Dealer to wealthy clients.
He was later promoted to the head FX Dealer for APAC at easyMarkets in May 2016. Before his departure from the company, Darvall worked with high networth individuals and corporate hedging accounts. He also offered detailed market updates and quality trading plans for hedgers and traders.
In an update on the LinkedIn social networking platform, Darvall announced that he was the founder of Traderflow. Darvall plans to unveil this platform in February this year alongside other veterans in the FX industry.
Darvall has explained that this startup will come with “a trading floor Metaverse and dynamic NFTs that update in real-time [as well as] store trading history and statistics on-chain.” He added that some of the first platforms onboarded on the Traderflow database include MT4 and MT4.
Darvall’s resignation from easyMarkets comes shortly after Ohad Golan quit the company as the Chief Marketing Officer. Golan first joined easyMarkets four years ago, working at its Limassol location.
FC veterans announce departures
The past year has seen the resignation of multiple experts in the forex and contracts for difference (CFD) industry. Some of these veterans have left their roles in pursuit of new ventures, while others are yet to reveal their next steps.
One of the iconic figures that recently resigned is Alan F. Schwartz, the co-founder, and CEO of FXSpotStream. Schwartz said he would resign from his role at the company after working at the multi-bank forex aggregation platform for more than 11 years.
In November last year, another key resignation was that of Harshad Kale. Kale was the Chief Financial Officer at ThinkMarkets, a forex and CFDs brokerage platform headquartered in Australia. Before his resignation, Kale had worked at the company for around nine years.
In September, Chris Mills, an FX Dealer at the Bank of England, announced his departure from the UK central bank. Mills had served as an FX dealer at the bank for 18 years. At the BOE, Mills was tasked with managing the forex risk balance sheets of the bank and the UK Treasury, making him a key figure in the forex industry.
