Appital Expands its Management Team With Brian Guckian and Philipp Eberle

Today, Appital, a London-based firm, announced that it would make two new strategic appointments. These appointments will see the company’s management team grow ever more.  The first such appointment was Brian Guckian, who will now serve as the Chief Business Development Officer. Alongside this, Philipp Eberle will be appointed as the Head of Strategy.

Dedicated To Stopping Market Crashes

The firm made it clear that both these hires will stand to support the mission of Appital, which is to bring automation and technological innovation to the equity capital markets.

Appital stands ready to uncover and unlock liquidity for various investors. This, in turn, enables buy-side firms to execute large volumes without any market impact, as much as five days’ worth of Average Daily Volume. Through doing so, the risk of price erosion becomes minimal, and institutional-class investors can make their transactions with ease.

The Prospective Acquisitions

Brian Guckian, in particular, stands to bring 25 years of experience to the company, having served within the financial services industry. He will bring all this experience to his new role within the company.

Before his integration into Appital, he served as the Head of Sales and Trading for none other than SEB. It wasn’t long, however, before he moved into VC deal origination, Capital introduction, as well as execution before.

Through his new position within the company as Chief Business Development Officer, it’s planned that Guckian will introduce the capabilities of Appital to advisory firms, buy-side clients, or even corporate entities, in time. This will allow the company to gain a higher level of exposure to deal flow, as well as execution opportunities, to boot.

Experience Abound

Philipp Eberle, in turn, stands as someone who has worked extensively across the equity offering process’s full life cycle. Eberle has managed to have a hand in everything from advisory to origination, to syndication at various financial institutions all across London.

Eberle had served as the Vice President of the ECM team at Barclays prior to his appointment to Appital, covering the Nordic and DACH regions’ clients for his previous employer. Eberle has also had his hand at other companies, such as SEB, Nomura, and STJ Advisors.

Eberle will work closely alongside the CTO and CEO of Appital in order to deliver on the current plans for platform development, as well as growth. Furthermore, he will serve to drive the “route to market” strategy as well as the product development forward, in order to ensure the future of the platform.
