Bitcoin’s security is safe from quantum computers for this decade and likely even the next, according to Ki Young Ju, Founder & CEO of CryptoQuant. Ju was not worried about the increasing concerns regarding quantum computing threatening to crack the Bitcoin algorithm. He called on people not to be fooled by FUD created by people who have no grasp of the technology in question.

CryptoQuant CEO Reassures Bitcoin Users About Quantum Computing
Ju was keen to state that for the current Bitcoin cryptography is secure enough to handle potential risks posed by quantum computing in the near future. Quantum computers are still a relatively new technology, and while progress is being made, there is much to be done. It will probably take such entities a couple of decades to be in a position to pose any sort of a risk to Bitcoin and/or other cryptographies.
Other voices that joined the discussion include; Adam Back, the cryptographer who is also a Bitcoin PoW algorithm creator. Back is quite popular among the representatives of the crypto-sphere as the key figure for cryptography and a member of the BTC project. He said that the architects of Bitcoin have ensured the protocol incorporates any prospective quantum development.
Quantum Computing Not a Current Threat to BTC, Experts Assure
That is why the fear of quantum computing cracking the BTC algorithm is predicated on theories that have not been actualized in any way. Quantum computers have been found to compute certain problems faster as compared to classical computers; however, they cannot breach the encryption systems of Bitcoin. Moreover, the crypto community is already discussing what new algorithms will need to be created to safeguard Bitcoin from any possible quantum threats in the future.
Lastly, Ki Young Ju assured the crypto community that Bitcoin is not vulnerable to quantum computing threats for now. Ju and Adam Back are both sure about the security of BTC systems that have been integrated in a way that can adapt to new technologies. As a result, the supporters of Bitcoin should not be concerned about the threat posed by quantum computers in threatening their digital coins.
