Bybit, a renowned crypto exchange, has officially unveiled Bybit Indonesia after acquiring the local platform NOBI. The rollout denotes a notable move in Bybit’s expansion within Southeast Asia. As per Bybit’s official announcement, the development comes after the PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal’s majority acquisition, letting the platform work under the regulation of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Indonesia. The new entity is set to merge the global trading infrastructure of Bybit with the regional market expertise and regulatory compliance.

Bybit Indonesia Goes Live Under OJK Regulation with Over 500 Trading Pairs
The launch of Bybit Indonesia, following the acquisition of NOBI, under the Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) supervision, signifies the long-term commitment to the swiftly expanding digital asset ecosystem of the country. The respective approach fortifies user protection while advancing sustainable growth within the jurisdiction under transforming crypto regulations. As included in the launch, Bybit Indonesia will deliver over five hundred cryptocurrency trading pairs to consumers, backed by institutional-scale liquidity. This will enhance market efficiency and order execution.
Apart from that, the platform will also gradually introduce more services and products following meeting the compliance requirements and getting regulatory approvals. Each of the new features will come along with transparent disclosures, improved user protection measures, and user notifications to guarantee consumers clearly comprehend the services. A local Indonesian crypto management group was entrusted with Bybit Indonesia’s leadership.
Lawrence Samantha and Dionisius Evan serve as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the platform. Additionally, Steven Gotama serves as the Chief Marketing Officer.
