Lithuania-based Electronic money institution, ConnectPay, has announced a partnership deal with Salt Edge to provide an improved payment experience in the Netherlands and Germany.
ConnectPay says its partnership with Salt Edge is in line with the company’s strategic goal of implementing open banking payments.
ConnectPay added that it has been searching for a partner that would come in for possible integration of multiple APIs of banks across Germany and the Netherlands. The company says it has found one in Salt Edge, whose expertise will help both firms achieve their goals.
The Partnership Will Deploy New Banking Solutions
Salt Edge will be assisting to deploy new open banking solutions into its platforms, providing tailor-made solutions for the different banks. Additionally, it will need more resources for development and analysis if everything is done in-house.
ConnectPay says the integration of Salt Edge will tap into the company’s initiation solution, offering merchant services based on open banking in the Netherlands and Germany.
Salt Edge will play a substantial role in the partnership, as ConnectPay tries to expand its operational areas around the world. “Collaborations and partnerships drive the fintech industry forward,” according to Chief Executive Officer of ConnectPay, Marius Galdikas.
He added that Salt Edge has met the company’s expectations when it comes to innovation to provide ad all-encompassing solution rather than integrating them one-by-one.
Combining the strengths of both companies, ConnectPay and Salt Edge will be providing high-quality merchant services to e-commerce customers.

Vice President at Salt Edge, Vasile Valcov, also commented on the development. He noted that the company is excited about the collaboration to offer unique merchant services to customers. Salt Edge’s solution will be providing ConnectPay access to leading financial services firms in the Netherlands and Germany via a single connection. It will allow them to provide high-quality services to their customers, he added.
ConnectPay will be taking advantage of the collaboration to improve user experience, as it integrates with a list of top financial institutions in the two European countries. The company also has plans to expand to other parts of Europe and the world in the future.
