Deribit Offers Zero-Fee Trading to Foster Liquid Markets
Deribit recently announced that they will be introducing a zero-fee system for trading particular currency pairings on their platform. This action aims to make markets more liquid and remove trading barriers. Both makers and takers will pay no fees for participating in these pairings. However, because of the chosen price structure, this model will not offer volume discounts or affiliate or partner sharing. This new improvement will give Deribit’s customers a simpler and more affordable trading experience.
According to Deribit’s Chief Commercial Officer, Luuk Strijers, the firm has always aimed to offer a comprehensive exchange platform that satisfies all of its consumers’ trading needs. Deribit has chosen to broaden its services to include spot trading after years of being a top platform for trading crypto derivatives and maintaining the greatest degree of security and transparency. Moreover, Deribit will be able to offer a complete exchange offering that appeals to all sorts of traders by adding spot trading to their current futures and options products.
Currently, Deribit provides a range of derivatives products, including futures and options for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC. A larger spectrum of investors may now be served with the introduction of spot trading, which enables traders to exchange assets with quick pickup and ownership.
Deribit Launches BTC DVOL Futures for Bitcoin Volatility Trading
The launch of Deribit’s BTC DVOL futures contracts, a contract based on DVOL that enables trading in Bitcoin volatility, came soon after the release of open spot trading capabilities. A steady rise in investor activity is also likely at Deribit, with open interest on the exchange reaching a record level of more than $20 billion by March 30th, 2023.
