Digital asset investment products have recorded their fifth consecutive week of outflows. Last week alone recorded withdrawals reaching $1.7 billion, according to CoinShares. The ongoing decline has resulted in a total outflow of $6.4 billion over this five-week period. This is the longest consecutive outflow streak since records began in 2015.
Bitcoin and Ethereum Lead Digital Asset Outflows
Bitcoin ($BTC) continues to bear the brunt of investor withdrawals, recording a $978 million outflow in the past week alone. This brings its five-week total outflows to a staggering $5.4 billion. Ethereum ($ETH) also saw substantial losses, with $175 million leaving investment products over the same period.
Solana ($SOL) experienced $2.2 million in outflows, continuing its negative trend, while XRP ($XRP) managed to stand out with $1.8 million in inflows, defying the broader market sentiment.
US and Switzerland Recorded the Most Digital Asset Outflows
The United States accounted for the bulk of the outflows, losing $1.16 billion, representing 93% of all withdrawals during this period. Switzerland also saw significant outflows of $528 million, primarily due to the exit of a major seed investor. In contrast, Germany saw a modest inflow of $8 million, indicating some investor confidence in the European region.

Binance Assets Nearly Wiped Out
One of the most notable developments was the near-total depletion of Binance’s assets under management (AuM) due to a seed investor exit. This reduction has left Binance’s AuM at just $15 million, underscoring the severity of the current market conditions.
Blockchain Equities and Short Positions Also See Declines
The downturn was not limited to digital assets alone. Blockchain equities saw $40 million in outflows last week, further highlighting investor caution. Short-Bitcoin positions also experienced $3.6 million in outflows, indicating that traders may be reducing their bets on a continued Bitcoin price decline.
Despite Massive Outflows, Year-to-Date Inflows Remain Positive
Despite this prolonged wave of outflows, year-to-date inflows remain in positive territory at $912 million. However, total assets under management (AuM) have declined by $48 billion due to price corrections and investor withdrawals.

The sustained outflows reflect growing investor caution and market uncertainty, though some assets, such as XRP, continue to attract inflows. The coming weeks will determine whether the market can stabilize or if this record-breaking outflow streak will continue.
