Dukascopy Bank announced that live CFD trading feature is being launched by them for the BTC/USD pair. Clients can avail a leverage of up to 1:3 when trading this pair. Dukascopy Bank is also the owner of a brokerage firm by the same name.
The clients of Dukascopy will be in a position to trade the pair irrespective of whether the market is trending upward or trending downward in the same manner as in the case of forex trading. In addition, hedging feature will also be available to them. Further, clients are not required to store their cryptocurrencies in an electronic wallet.
Apart from all of the abovementioned features, clients’ funds will be protected – up to CHF 100 000 for clients of Dukascopy Bank and up to EUR 20,000 for clients of Dukascopy Europe – unlike most of the crypto exchanges.

Dukascopy Bank said that trading in the new pair BTC/USD will be enabled shortly for Dukascopy Europe and white label partners. In addition, Dukascopy Bank will be offering investments in Bitcoin, allowing buying and selling of Bitcoins through regular bank accounts, and enabling free internal transfer of cryptocurrencies between mobile banking users.
The Bank had launched demo trading in BTC/USD pair a few several weeks earlier. It can be said that Dukascopy is one of the late entrants to the cryptocurrency CFD market. A number of forex brokerages have already joined the digital currency CFD market because of the soaring popularity that cryptocurrencies witnessed in 2017.
Dukascopy Bank has been licensed by the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) not only to operate as a bank but also as a dealer in securities. Dukascopy, based out of Geneva in Switzerland, set up its operations in 2004. The Bank serves its clients around the globe through its offices in Zurich, Kiev, Moscow, Riga, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur.
