Equiti Capital Partners with Lucera for LumeFX

Equiti Capital, which is part of the Equiti Group, has collaborated with Lucera to deploy the LumeFX technology. This move will open up new markets for Equiti Capital.

Equity Capital has launched a new technology that will allow the firm to focus on new markets. On a press statement that was given by the company, the firm will deploy Lucera’s LumeFX technology to achieve global expansion without investing too many resources. This will allow the company to focus better on their core services.

Lucera is a firm based in New York that is fully owned by BGC Partners. This firm uses a SaaS model to provide other companies with the infrastructure they need to expand their reach. They also provide other services such as price distribution, aggregation and high-performance cross asset matching.

How will Equiti Group Benefit from LumeFX?

During the press statement, the Head of FX Desk at Equiti Capital, Benedict Sears stated that the partnership with Lucera would help them advance the technology they were using to offer liquidity to their clients. Lucera will help them achieve high fill rates and aggressive pricing through its competent liquidity management tools and analytics.

LumeFX technology will also enable Equiti Capital to tailor liquidity solutions according to unique needs of every client. It will also help in better risk assessment to create business efficiency. Benedict Sears added that with the LumeFX platform, they would be come up with customized liquidity streams for every client, match the interests of every client, assess risks such as pre-trade credit checks to guarantee the future of the business.

Speaking on behalf of Lucera, Frank Van Zegyeld, who is the MD for Business Development and Sales, stated that Lucera was thrilled over their new partnership with Equiti Capital. By using LumeFX technology, Equiti Capital would be better place to manage their FX operations and thus improving client relations whilst transforming business processes.

LumeFX technology can be used in New York (NY4), Tokyo (TY3), London (LD4), Singapore (SG1) and France (FR3) to offer connectivity and aggregation technology to companies. LumeFX technology is currently in use by financial and non-financial institutions to provide control over liquidity, price aggregation and to mitigate risks.

Equiti Group has been promoting their FX department for the past months. In the last quarter of 2020, the firm appointed Stephane Treny as their head FX sales trader to ensure the smooth running of the FX desk.
