Euro rose slightly in the European market on Friday against a basket of major and minor currencies, extending its third day against USD to a two-and-a-half-month high as demand for the US currency fell as a safe haven amid fears of a US-China trade conflict. Later in the day, investors were looking for important data from Europe on key sectors of the economy to gauge how the Eurozone economy improved in the third quarter.
Euro rose against the dollar by less than 0.1% as of 06:45 GMT, trading at $ 1.1780, the opening price of $ 1.1776, the highest at $ 1.1787 since July 9 and the lowest at $ 1.1772.

Yesterday, Euro gained 0.9% against the dollar, its second consecutive daily gain, and the biggest daily gain since June 29 as the US currency accelerated against most of the world’s currencies.
Over the course of the week, Euro has so far gained 1.4% against the dollar, about to make its second weekly gain in a row as investors focus on fundamentals.
The dollar index is trading at a three-month low of 93.39 on Friday, reversing the weak performance of the greenback versus a basket of major and minor currencies as demand for the world’s strongest currency has declined as a safe haven amid fears of a US-China trade conflict.
Later in the day, investors were looking at data from the major sectors of the European economy to show how the euro zone’s economic growth improved during the third quarter. The index of industrial and service sector purchasing managers was released in various parts of Europe in September.
