Euro fell against the US dollar on Tuesday, extending losses for the second day in a row, with the correction and profit taking from a two-week high and the greenback resuming its gains against most major and minor currencies. This comes ahead of major sector data releases in Europe and Germany in July.
Euro was down 0.2% at 07:05 GMT, trading at $ 1.1665, the opening price of $ 1.1690 and a high of $ 1.1702 and a low of $ 1.1654.
Euro ended yesterday’s trading down 0.3% against the US dollar, after hitting a two-week high of $ 1.1726 earlier.
USD index rose 0.2% on Tuesday to continue its gains for the second day in a row, reflecting the resumption of the US currency rise against a basket of major and secondary currencies.

EURUSD
The US currency’s rally comes after 10-year US bond yields rose to a five-week high, with strong expectations for a two-fold rise in US interest rates this year.
The major economic sectors in Europe and Germany were released later in the day, signaling a recovery in economic growth during the third quarter of this year, after falling in the second quarter as a result of slower growth.
