Evolution Petroleum Corp (NYSEAMERICAN:EPM) stock rose 0.55% (As on September 17, 11:25:00 AM UTC-4, Source: Google Finance) after the company reported fiscal fourth quarter adjusted earnings that beat analyst expectations. The company maintained production at 7,198 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD), essentially flat compared to 7,209 BOEPD in the year-ago period with oil accounting for 61% of revenue, natural gas accounting for 27%, and natural gas liquids (“NGLs”) accounting for 12% of revenue during the quarter. Evolution’s adjusted EBITDA increased 7% to $8.6 million compared to $8.0 million in the year-ago quarter, demonstrating the company’s ability to generate improved earnings despite commodity price volatility. The company benefited from its diversified energy portfolio, with oil accounting for 61% of revenue, natural gas 27%, and natural gas liquids 12%. Further, Evolution’s realized commodity prices were mixed, with oil prices down 20% YoY to $60.82 per barrel and natural gas prices up 66% YoY to $2.76 per MCF. The company ended the quarter with $2.5 million in cash and $37.5 million in borrowings under its recently amended credit facility, which now has a $65 million borrowing base. At Chaveroo, the Company’s operator completed and brought online four new gross wells in the second development block on schedule and under budget.

EPM in the second quarter of FY 25 has reported the adjusted earnings per share of 3 cents, beating the analysts’ estimates for the adjusted earnings per share of 2 cents. The company had reported the adjusted revenue decline of 1 percent to $21.11 million in the second quarter of FY 25, beating the analysts’ estimates for revenue of $21.24 million. Natural gas revenue increased 9% to $23.5 million and NGL revenue increased 3% to $11.2 million in fiscal 2025. Lease operating costs (“LOE”) were $11.4 million, flat compared to the year-ago quarter. On a per-unit basis, LOE was $17.35 per BOE compared to $17.39 per BOE in the year-ago quarter. The Company reported net income of $3.4 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, up from net income of $1.2 million, or $0.04 per diluted share, in the year-ago period.

Additionally, the company has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.12 per share, marking its 48th consecutive quarterly payment. Evolution also completed its largest minerals-only acquisition to date in the SCOOP/STACK for approximately $17 million in August 2025, adding about 420 net BOE per day.
