Forex Technical Major Pairs Analysis | January 15, 2026

USDX (USD Index)

U.S. dollar index is extending its bullish attempt after printing a higher high in today’s session, signaling that bulls remain active rather than pausing. Price action suggests the broader bullish bias is still intact, with the index maintaining strength above the daily SMA 200. Despite the upside push, consolidation is still expected to develop not far from the daily SMA 200, as the market digests recent gains. On the upside, the 100.00 level remains the major resistance to watch, where stronger selling pressure and increased volatility could emerge.

EUR/USD

FBS The Best Forex Broker

EUR/USD remains in a bullish long-term trend, with the current decline developing as a corrective move rather than a structural reversal. Price is gradually moving lower as the market digests prior gains. The pair is approaching the 1.1580 support level and the daily SMA 200, where a bullish reaction would support the case for a rebound toward 1.1710 resistance. A decisive break below this zone, however, would signal that the correction is deepening and could open the door toward 1.1500.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.1580, 1.1500, 1.1360, 1.1300

Resistance: 1.1710, 1.1820

GBP/USD

GBP/USD has printed a new lower low, confirming that bearish momentum remains dominant. The pair is showing limited bullish response, suggesting sellers are still in control of the broader trend. The bearish movement might extend further, with downside targets toward the 1.3300–1.3330 area. A sustained move back above 1.3450 would be needed to signal any meaningful shift in short-term bias.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.3330, 1.3300, 1.3250

Resistance: 1.3450, 1.3600

USD/JPY

USD/JPY showed a bearish reaction just ahead of the 127.20% Fibonacci extension level, but the lack of strong follow-through suggests sellers were unable to gain control. Price action is now pointing toward consolidation rather than reversal. The pair might continue to range in the near term before attempting another bullish push. A break above recent highs would re-open the path toward 160.00 and 161.829, while a move back below the consolidation range could trigger a deeper corrective move.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 155.50, 155.00, 153.00, 151.00

Resistance: 158.89, 160.00

AUD/USD

AUD/USD is showing bullish reactions, but price remains mostly range-bound near the 0.6700 level. The pair is struggling to build sustained upside momentum, indicating ongoing indecision between buyers and sellers. If bullish pressure strengthens, the pair could attempt a move toward 0.6750 resistance levels. A new lower low will become signal for deeper pullback.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 0.6600, 0.6560, 0.6500

Resistance: 0.6700, 0.6750, 0.6820
