Forex Technical Major Pairs Analysis | July 23, 2026

USDX (USD Index)

U.S. Dollar Index successfully bounced off the previously broken descending trend line, resuming its upward move with strong momentum. Price action is now accelerating toward the major daily swing high and appears poised to test this key resistance level soon. If buyers maintain control and break above this high, the index could unlock further upside potential. Conversely, any short-term pullbacks toward the trend line should be monitored as potential support zones.

EUR/USD

EUR/USD experienced a sharp sell-off today, pressing lower to test the support level near 1.1360. In doing so, the strong bearish daily candle completely engulfed the previous two trading sessions, signaling aggressive selling pressure. Given this momentum, the pair looks ready to continue its downward trajectory as expected. Should buyers manage to stage a corrective bounce, the 1.1500 level stands as the primary overhead resistance.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.1360, 1.1300

Resistance: 1.1500, 1.1580, 1.1710, 1.1820,1.2000, 1.2070

GBP/USD

GBP/USD extended its downside move today, sinking deeper below the daily SMA 200 as sellers retained firm control. The pair is currently trading right within the 1.3300 – 1.3330 target area, where initial support is being tested. If the prevailing weakness continues and forces a clean break lower, the pair could target the 1.3250 mark next. Technical conditions remain heavily weighted to the downside in the near term.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 1.3330, 1.3300, 1.3250, 1.3125, 1.3050, 1.3000

Resistance: 1.3450, 1.3600

USD/JPY

There is no major shift in the overarching bullish momentum for USD/JPY, as buyers continue to push price action steadily higher. The pair advanced further today, reaching the 161.8% Fibonacci extension level. Looking ahead, upside targets at 164.00 and 165.00 represent the next key levels to watch. Until a significant and confirmed bearish reversal pattern emerges, the path of least resistance remains to the upside.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 161.18, 160.00, 158.89, 155.50

Resistance: 162.00

AUD/USD

AUD/USD broke lower during today’s session, slipping beneath the 0.7000 psychological threshold. Despite this breakdown, price action still remains within the boundaries of its recent consolidation range. If sellers extend the pair’s current weakness, the dynamic daily SMA 200 serves as the next logical downside target. Traders should watch for price behavior around the SMA 200 to gauge whether buyers will defend the broader trend.

Today’s critical levels to watch:

Support: 0.6820, 0.6750, 0.6700, 0.6600

Resistance: 0.7000, 0.7160, 0.7300, 00.7330
