USDX (USD Index)

U.S dollar index closed higher near the 93.00 resistance level yesterday. The index has not left the 92.60 – 93.00 area yet which means the consolidation will continue. Traders will continue waiting for a further clue on the U.S dollar index next movement. Which side will the index breakout?

EUR/USD

EUR/USD returns inside the 1.1710 – 1.1820 area. The pair expected to continue trading inside the range while waiting for a breakout. Technically, the pair made a higher high in the previous upswing. The pair now need a higher low to resume its bullish trend.

Support: 1.1710, 1.1580, 1.1500

Resistance: 1.1820, 1.2000

GBP/USD

GBP/USD rejected from the 1.3300 – 1.3330 area and the bear gain more ground in today’s trading session. The bearish movement has reached the 1.3125 support level. If the pair continue the bearish movement then traders will expect the pair to test 1.3000 next.

Today Critical level to watch:

Support: 1.3125, 1.3050, 1.3000

Resistance: 1.3250

USD/JPY

The overall trend of USD/JPY still bearish for the long-term. We have a major bullish jump this week but the pair has not printed a higher high on the chart yet. If the pair could not print further higher high on the chart then USD/JPY set to move lower again.

Today critical levels to watch:

Support: 105.00, 104.00, 101.50, 101.19

Resistance: 106.00, 106.70

AUD/USD

AUD/USD stick near the 0.7300 – 0.7330 area for several days. No major reaction yet from the resistance area. Will the pair continue moving upward and a breakout above the area? Alternatively, will it get rejected and target the 0.7160 support level again?

Support: 0.7160, 0.7000, 0.6820

Resistance: 0.7300, 0.7330
